The Junior League of Olympia reaches out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism and to the community. As a member, you will have an opportunity to develop your skills and build friendships through the league's structured and supportive environment while, most importantly, making a positive impact on the community.

Receive Hands-On Training

Though committee work, educational trainings and hands-on volunteering, members gain valuable skills including: public relations, fundraising, public policy advocacy, event planning, marketing, advertising, project management, finance and parliamentary procedure.

In your time as a member, you can explore different projects, internal administrative roles, fundraising opportunities, leadership opportunities, serve on the Board of Directors and more. Members are also eligible and encouraged to attend many trainings at both the local and national levels, including nonprofit management and development, personal and professional development and training on specific to ways to engage and make a lasting difference in the community.

A large number of league members go on to volunteer on various community boards and to lead other nonprofit organizations with the valuable skills learned from their membership in the Junior League of Olympia.

Belong to an International Network of Passionate Volunteers

The Junior League of Olympia is part of something even bigger! We are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., an organization of more than 170,000 members in 292 Leagues located in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.

Because we are a membership organization affiliated with the Association of Junior Leagues International, any member in good standing can transfer membership to another league - a valuable benefit if you will be moving to a new city!
