Junior League Member Training and Development
Junior League believes in the development of women as leaders in their local communities. We offer several training and service opportunities throughout the year that give members a chance to learn and practice new skills. As a result of the training and leadership opportunities our members receive, they are able to use their new skills to improve other community organizations and excel in their professional and personal lives. Looking for a resume builder? This is it!
Examples of trainings held:
- Public speaking
- Strengths Finders
- League leadership with Vicki Clark
- New member trainings in fall and spring
- Committee chair, chair-elect and board member special sessions
- Northwest Exchange - our regional AJLI meeting
- AJLI Organizational Development Institutes
- 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
Training are sometimes held as part of a General Member Meeting where we bring in well-respected speakers and professionals. We also send members to regional and national Association of Junior Leagues International learning events as well.
JLO members not only learn new skills, they get the chance to practice them, too! We encourage members to become part of the JLO leadership team through committee participation and the opportunity to become a member of the Board of Directors for the Junior League of Olympia.
